...as seen on...
When I see ads boasting "...as seen on Today Tonight and A Current Affair", I think to myself, "They've just completely talked themselves out of a deal'.
They're gonna scare cutomers away if they keep that shit up.

I couldn't agree more.
Too true, too true. When I appeared on ACA earlier this year, I had a devil of a time trying to explain to my worried parents back in SA that no, I hadn't ripped off any pensioners, or smuggled in some war criminals or done any pole dancing to make money. Nope, just eaten lots of chocolate: http://www.chocablog.com/misc/chocablog-on-tv/
oh hilarious!
(i am enjoying this posting frenzy you've entered into. keep up the good work, young man!)
What joy these programs bring. My world can't exist without knowing ways to beat the grocery price rises using my shopper dockets or the renters from hell story that seems to be recycled every few months. Where else would we know about the woman who breastfeeds a monkey or the child raised by dingos. Ahhh the quality knows no bounds.
What? You mean you watch A Current Affair?(Actually I did last night - Master Chef has finished you know) Some bozo squatter attacked the camera man and the sound technician and decked the reporter while they squealed "Assault"! Hilarious! Although it's sad that for some, it's their only source of 'news'. Then after last night, I don't think Harvey Norman will be posting "As Seen on Current Affair!" But srsly, I don't really watch it . .often. . it's just on you know?
Yeah, it's the recommendation that isn't - like those signs in the simpsons: - "Now only 40% in breach of food handling regulations!"
Femiknessm - Great minds hey...
KL - You were one of the very few individuals on that show for good reasons. The work of a general chocolate promoter is never done.
P - Thanks. Short posts = lots of posts. Though I think the quality has suffered.
LL - What! Breastfed monkeys and dingos. If there was more of that sort of stuff I might actally watch it.
Baino - Don't watch 'em (although, they do have monkeys apparently), but I see it on Mediawatch all the time. I'm talking about the banner ads on hotmail and facebook, usually some dodgy investment mob or fad diet thingy saying "as seen on ACA & TT..."
Lad - You've made me realise it's been far too long since I watched the Simpsons.
